Clemson football: Multisport athlete Kylen Webb latest commitment
Clemson football is getting commits at an astonishing rate over the last three days, with three star athlete Kylen Webb becoming the latest.
Kylen Webb, a 6’1, 180 pound athlete from Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida became the last commitment to Clemson football on the afternoon of June 8.
Webb is regarded as a four star and fifty-ninth best player in Florida by 247sports and a three star in the composite rankings.
Webb also reported offers from Florida State, Miami, North Carolina State and Pittsburgh among others and he was part of the Tigers big recruiting weekend on June 3.
247sports says this about Webb’s athleticism:
"Also a talented track athlete. Took 4th in the triple jump at AAU National Indoor Champions Age 17-18 (41’-7.5”)2021: Two-way player that got snaps at S, CB and RB. Webb became the eighth Clemson commitment of the 2023 cycle and fourth in last three days as the Tigers have rocketed up the 247sports team rankings to number 12.
The Tigers are expected to continue their climb with rumors of additional commitments to come, but without any particular timeline it’s anyone’s guess as to when that will be.
The big week for Clemson recruiting keeps getting bigger with each passing day
It’s been a fruitful and interesting few days for Tiger fans as some of the recent commitments have been expected, while others seem to come out of the blue for even the most ardent followers of the recruiting battles.
Webb joins a class of QB Chris Vizzina, WR Nathaniel Joseph, Edge David Ojiegbe, OT Ian Reed, CBs Brandon Strozier and Avieon Terrell, and TE Olsen Patt Henry.
There are still big fish in the pond and the Tigers are still fishing.
