Clemson football recruiting is suddenly on a roll.

Clemson football reeled in recruit number two of Tuesday and three in a two day period late Tuesday afternoon as four star tight end Olsen Patt Henry of First Baptist Academy in Naples, Florida announced his commitment to Clemson.

Just a few short days ago Clemson was sitting at four commits , then number five fell then six and seven came in a quick succession.

With these last three recruits Clemson has move up to number thirteen in the latest 247 recruiting rankings.

Clemson’s latest commit is a multisport athlete coming into his own

Henry is a multisport athlete (basketball, track and field) that appears to be just coming into his own on the football field and stands 6’3, 215 pounds and has experience in the slot, while dominating one of the lower classifications of Florida High School football.

Recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins from 247 has Henry as a future Power 5 starter in his analysis.

"A hybrid pass catcher of sorts that has spent much of prep career working as a jumbo/oversized slot receiver, but figures to eventually be utilized as more of a move tight end or H-back as his body fills out. On the younger side for his grade as he didn’t turn 17 years old until the summer before his senior season. Absolutely dominated a lower classification of football in Southwest Florida as a junior totaling just over 1,000 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns."

I’ll say it again – his offers mean more to me than his ranking and among those offers are Ohio State, Alabama and Oklahoma among a bevy of others.

Henry is on the younger side and will likely have to develop into a contributor at Clemson, that’s something the Tigers are known for and do well – develop talent.

It’s been quite the few days for Clemson with Henry, Avieon Terrell and Ian Reed all committing and hints of more to come.
