More from Rubbing the Rock

Ben Boulware is not garnering the attention that some of the other Clemson Tigers are, mainly Deshaun Watson and Mike Williams. That being said, Boulware can play football with the best of them. Boulware is going to take heat for his lack of size and speed, but, once it is time to put the pads on, it is clear that he is one of the best pure football players.

Boulware’s best attribute is his work ethic. Ben Boulware spends hours a week scouring opponents film so that he can put himself and his team in the best position to win. If you look at the Alabama game, Boulware was literally pointing out plays at times, his preparation and intensity are going to make him a successful NFL player.

Expectations.

As I previously stated, Ben Boulware is not going to wow folks at the combine, however, I do expect him to impress many scouts during the interview process leading up to the draft. Boulware is not afraid to speak his mind, and he is a passionate player, which will serve him well when convincing teams to draft him.

I expect Ben Boulware to be a mid-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. Boulware will likely bide his time playing special teams early on in his career, but, once he gets an opportunity to play there is no turning back. If there is one thing that’s for sure, Boulware will give everything he has to earn his keep in the NFL.
