4-star priority Clemson football DE target gets a crystal ball prediction

One of the top targets for Clemson football at the defensive end position just received a crystal ball prediction in the Tigers’ favor on 247 Sports.

4-star DE Kenyatta Jackson Jr. is one of the priority defensive end targets for Clemson football in this 2022 class. Jackson was offered on June 1, 2020 by Clemson and is ranked as the No. 6 WDE in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Player Rankings. He is listed as the No. 9 overall player in the state of Florida and the No. 84 overall player in the country.

Jackson released a top-12 last summer that included Clemson, but there’s no doubt that there is competition for his recruitment. A native of Hollywood, Florida, Jackson is just a short drive to Miami and it’s believed that the Hurricanes, Florida and Florida State will vie for his services. In addition, Ohio State and Auburn have been thought to be heavily in the mix.

Clemson 247 Insider Anna Hickey placed a crystal ball in favor of the Tigers on Tuesday with a ‘medium confidence.’ Before Hickey’s crystal ball prediction, only one prediction had been put in and that was by Miami 247 Insider Gaby Urrutia, who predicted he would end up at Ohio State with a ‘low confidence.’

Clemson football is looking for its next edge-rusher and Jackson could be the answer

There’s no doubt that Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff are looking for their next edge-rusher and the thought is that they’ll likely take two defensive ends in this class.

Clemson has offered just six total defensive ends and the names that have really stuck to this point are 4-star Cyrus Moss and Jackson.

It will be interesting to see how both Jackson and Moss’s recruitments unfold, but we don’t think either are quite ready to make a decision- though you never know.

It’s intriguing, however, to see Clemson football getting a crystal ball prediction for him which tells us that there is some pushing and major moves being made behind-the-scenes.
