Five things Clemson football fans should watch for in February

The 2021 Clemson football season is still seven months away from kickoff, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have plenty of intriguing storylines and situations to watch.

Clemson football fans are among the most passionate fan bases in the country and that means that Tiger nation stays involved and engaged year-round as they wait to see their team take the field again.

As we head into the month of February, here are five things Clemson football fans should keep their eyes on.

5. Former Clemson football players in the Super Bowl

There are four total former Clemson football players who will participate in the Super Bowl this coming Sunday in a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On the Chiefs’ side, we’ve got WR Sammy Watkins (who is listed as questionable), DB Breshaud Breeland and LB Dorian O’Daniel. On the Bucs’ side, we’ve got punter Bradley Pinion.

So, we’re guaranteed to have at least one Tiger earn a Super Bowl ring. Last year, O’Daniel became just the sixth Tiger in program history to win both a National Championship and a Super Bowl.

The game will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday on CBS.
