Studs & Duds for Clemson football in the victory over Miami

The Clemson football team came away with a dominating 42-17 victory over the Miami Hurricanes Saturday evening in Death Valley.

With the eyes of the nation on the matchup, the Tigers came out and played what was their best game of the season and showed a championship-caliber performance after a couple of games in which Clemson football fans were left with questions earlier in the season.

Here’s a look at some studs and duds from the thrashing of the Miami Hurricanes.

Studs

Ticked off Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence finished the night completing 29-of-41 passing attempts for 292 yards and three touchdowns to no interceptions and he also rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown.

While Dabo Swinney took the moment to coach up Lawrence, the truth of the matter is that ticked off Trevor Lawrence is the best version of Trevor Lawrence. He was chippy during the night and really showed a mental toughness and tenacity that absolutely was something Clemson football fans fell in love with.

Travis Etienne is on another level

Travis Etienne is on another level and there’s no doubt it. Etienne finished his night with 17 carries for 149 yards (8.8 YPC) and two touchdowns while also making eight catches for 73 yards.

Etienne proved against Miami that he is the most explosive player in the country and he remains vastly underrated on the national scale.
