Though the 2020 Clemson football spring sessions were shortened due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there was still plenty for Tiger fans to learn.

The 2020 Clemson football team had nine spring practice sessions over the course of the last few weeks.

The Tigers were scheduled to have several more and close out the spring with the annual Orange & White game on Saturday, April 4.

Unfortunately, all of that came to a halt with news of the COVID-19 outbreak, which led to classes and all athletic events being canceled for the foreseeable future.

Though spring practice was shortened, there were still plenty of things to learn about this Clemson football team. Here are five of our takeaways from the spring practice sessions.

5. The Freshmen are legit

The freshmen- in particular Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy– are absolute monsters.

The Clemson football coaching staff was pleased with what they saw out of these early enrollees and it’s clear that we’re going to see many of them make an impact.

Though Bresee received rave reviews early, it was actually Murphy who stole the show as spring camp progressed.

In addition to those two defensive linemen, guys like EJ Williams, Demonte Capehart and Trenton Simpson were outstanding performers during spring camp.
