The Clemson Tigers coaching staff has been busy on the recruiting trail since the start of the summer camp circuit. Today I will be breaking down the offer of 2019 defensive end, Jaquaze Sorrells.

Jaquaze Sorrells is only a rising junior, however, he is already verbally committed to Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators. With over a year before Sorrells will sign his Letter Of Intent, it is very possible that Clemson could flip the talented defensive end.

Strengths:
Sorrells is versatile along the defensive front, he is seen playing both defensive end and defensive tackle for his high school. He anticipates the snap very well at such a young age and most importantly he never gives up on a play.
- Versatility
- Explosive get-off
- Works through blocks to finish play
Weaknesses:
Sorrells must work on his flexibility. The ability to bend will allow him to turn the corner at defensive end and shoot the gap at defensive tackle.
- Flexibility
Outlook:
It is still early on in Sorrells’ recruitment despite his being committed to Florida. As such, Clemson has more than enough time to steal him from the Gators. At 6-foot-3, 256 pounds, Sorrells is strong against the run and shows promise rushing the passer. On film, Sorrells displayed an array of pass rushing moves, including a lighting quick spin.
Sorrells is one of the many defensive lineman Clemson has offered in the 2019 recruiting class. The Tigers are clearly looking to replenish their ultra-talented rotation of lineman.
