Kam Cody

A player who came in on similar footing as Thompson is true freshman Kam Cody. The three-star signee out of Georgia wasn’t perceived to be someone who would have a major role in the defense early in his career. Due to Kelly’s injury and the lack of certainty at the position, he will be a bigger piece of the unit than originally thought to be.

He caught the attention of the coaching staff during Spring practices, which is the first step for a young player trying to get on the field. Cody followed this up by playing very well in the Spring game too, finishing with three total tackles, a tackle for loss, and a sack.
