Markus Strong

If we want to talk about a current front runner to be a starting defensive tackle, we should look to Markus Strong. The Oklahoma transfer was brought in to compete for a spot at the top of the depth chart, and so far he’s proving why one of those spots is his.

He put on a good showing in the Spring game as he finished with two total tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks. While he spent three seasons at Oklahoma, Strong did not play many snaps. In his career, Strong recorded 10 total tackles, four tackles for loss, and three sacks.

So, he is hungry to prove he deserves to be a focal point of a power four defense.
