There’s a full-blown wardrobe emergency in the Pollack house, and Clemson orange is about to take over.

For twenty years, David Pollack has been all about Georgia’s red and black. But after Monday’s huge family news, he’s making room for a whole lot of Clemson orange in his closet.

As soon as his son, 2027 tight end Nicholas Pollack, gave his verbal to the Tigers, David jumped on social media to have some fun with his new color scheme.

"I ain't gonna lie, I don't have much orange in the closet but……. We gonna have more soon!" — David Pollack via X (Twitter)

Carving His Own Path

Nicholas Pollack is a star at North Oconee High in Bogart, Georgia, and he’s making it clear he wants to carve his own path—far from the shadow of Sanford Stadium. At 6-3, 225 pounds, he picked Clemson over offers from Wake Forest, Cincinnati, East Carolina, and Samford.

He is built like a premium multi-tool asset on the prep level—consistently playing both ways as a bruising tight end on offense and a hard-hitting linebacker. He’s a true Swiss Army knife in high school, dominating as a tough tight end and a punishing linebacker. But Dabo Swinney and tight ends coach Kyle Richardson see him as a future offensive weapon in orange. He’ll also enjoy some immediate familiarity in Tigertown, as he lines up alongside high school teammate and current Clemson three-star safety commit Harrison Luke.

A Legendary Bloodline

Nicholas is set on building his own legacy in the Upstate, but there’s no denying his football bloodlines. His dad is one of the most decorated defenders college football has ever seen:

  • The UGA Icon: A three-time first-team All-American, two-time SEC Player of the Year, and consensus SEC Defensive Player of the Year during his legendary tenure with the Bulldogs.
  • The Pro Pedigree: Selected in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals before a severe neck injury tragically cut his professional playing career short.
  • The Media Mainstay: Transitioned into a widely respected national college football analyst, famously anchoring ESPN’s College GameDay for years.

The Peach State-to-Clemson pipeline is rolling, and if David’s posts are any clue, the Pollacks are ready to go All In with the Tigers.
