It's always great to wake up on a Sunday after a big win, but it hits a little different after dominating a team like Clemson did to Appalachian State. It doesn't matter what team you're playing. If you can score five touchdowns for 349 yards in the first quarter, that's impressive.

Clemson's historic win yesterday gave us more than enough offensively to decide who the studs of the game were, with 66 points and 712 yards of total offense, but the duds were much harder to come by. But there were a few that could have played better, even if it's a little hypercritical.

Studs and Duds: Appalachian State

Everyone who fumbled

Ok, I’m just being nitpicky here. There was very little to complain about, but one thing bugged me about the performances last night. Clemson put the ball on the ground too many times last night.

The Tigers had three fumbles, and, luckily, only one was a takeaway. Antonio William otherwise had a great night with three receptions, 44 yards, and a touchdown. But with five minutes left in the second quarter, Williams fumbled on the punt return that led to a Mountaineer touchdown. Backup QB Christopher Vizzina and backup RB Keith Adams Jr fumbled, too, but neither were recovered. Still, making mistakes like that against NC State or Florida State could be a killer.
