Clemson has been on a roll since week one, but on Saturday, the Tigers will face the best defense they've seen since Georgia. Before the blowout loss to SMU, Florida State's defense was unrelenting.

Inversely, their offense has fallen incredibly short of the preseason expectations. However, former Tiger quarterback DJ Uaigalelei is injured and won't play against his former school. Maybe a fresh start in the offense can get the ball rolling.

Will the Seminoles take on the chin and give Clemson another blowout victory, or will they come alive with a new QB and give the Tigers trouble? We contacted Kelvin Hunt of Chop Chat to discuss what Clemson fans should expect on Saturday.

Q & A with Kelvin Hunt of Chop Chat

Q: Clemson fans know DJ Uiagalelei all too well, but seeing him struggle to this degree is kind of shocking. What’s going on with him?

A: Ironically, DJ Uiagalelei will not face his former team and likely won’t suit up for the Noles again unless something drastic happens. He apparently suffered a broken finger or something late in the SMU game. For whatever reason, DJ struggled to pick up Mike Norvell’s offense. However, several quarterbacks (including DJ) have mentioned it’s a lot to take in, but once you fully understand it it’s nearly unstoppable when everyone executes.

DJ played poorly at times, but it wasn’t all on him. Guys dropped wide open passes, others failed to execute their assignments on plays. I will say DJ never looked fully healthy. He wasn’t moving anywhere close to what we saw from say 2022 DJ at Clemson. Redshirt freshman Brock Glenn will make just his third career start on Saturday night.
