AP pegs Clemson No. 14 in first poll of the football season
You know that Saturdays without college football are nearing its conclusion when the preseason AP Top 25 is released.
Clemson landed at No. 14 in the rankings, marking the tenth year in a row the Tigers have cracked the top 15. It was also ranked No. 14 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Three ACC teams join them, with Florida State debuting in front of Clemson at No. 10. Miami ranks No. 19, and NC State comes in at No. 24.
Georgia is the top dog (pun intended) for the second consecutive season. Eight more SEC teams made the top 25, while the Big Ten has six teams and the Big 12 has five.
The Tigers will face No. Georgia to start the season. They'll play in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 31 at 10:00 AM. You can catch the game on ABC.
