Another Tiger is heading to Oxford. On Thursday night, former Clemson infielder Jason Fultz Jr. revealed he’s transferring to Ole Miss, making the jump to the Rebels.

Fultz made it official on social media, putting an end to speculation about his next stop.

“Excited to announce my commitment to Ole Miss,” Fultz wrote. “Thank you to the coaching staff at Ole Miss, my family, coaches, and friends for their support in this process.”

The 6-foot, 215-pounder wrapped up his freshman campaign in Tiger orange, logging 40 appearances and 34 starts at the hot corner for Clemson.

The Harborcreek, Pennsylvania native hit .231 with a .723 OPS in his first taste of college ball, tallying one homer, four doubles, a triple, and 13 RBIs. He showed patience at the plate with 24 walks but also struck out 31 times. Defensively, Fultz had six errors and finished with an .875 fielding percentage at third.

Fultz arrived at Clemson with plenty of hype. Perfect Game pegged him as the No. 119 overall player in his class and the No. 6 third baseman in the nation, and he checked in at No. 37 on their list of top freshmen before ever suiting up for the Tigers.

Fultz is now the second straight Tiger to make the move from Clemson to Ole Miss in the offseason, continuing a trend that’s hard to ignore.

Just last year, outfielder Tristan Bissetta left Clemson for the Rebels and went on to hit .272 with 23 home runs, 11 doubles, and 61 RBIs in 243 at-bats, slugging .601 for Ole Miss.
