Louisville Cardinals

Another team that won its last game in Memorial Stadium was Louisville. Last season the Cardinals running back, Isaac Brown, walked into Death Valley and ran all over the Clemson defense. Brown had 151 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries as Louisville defeated the Tigers 21-33.

One year later, Brown is back and will want to replicate the performance in front of his home crowd. Louisville does have a new quarterback after bringing in USC transfer, Miller Moss. He’s played well for the Cardinals to start the season.

Moss is completing 67% of his passes for 1,358 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. He’s got Louisville ranked as the fourth best passing offense in the ACC, and 21st best in the FBS.

The Cardinals defend the pass even better though, ranking first in the ACC and eight in the FBS in total pass defense. Louisville is also first in the conference in total defense, allowing 262 total yards per game.

The Cards lost their first game of the season last week, against former Clemson assistant Tony Elliot’s Virginia team. They will have games that should help them get right before welcoming the Tigers to Louisville. Dabo Swinney needs to have his team fired up, and going in ready to give the Cardinals a taste of their own medicine.
