The offseason so far has been all about Dabo Swinney and the football team while Clemson basketball has taken a back seat.
Heck, Dabo even reached into Brad Brownell's hoops world to take one of the Tigers' most talented players from the past few years as Ian Schieffelin decided to hang up the Jordans for some cleats and shoulder pads, joining the football team as a tight end after four years with the basketball program.
That doesn't mean Brownell has stopped working, however.
The Tigers' head coach has worked overtime in the portal to reload the roster after a 27-7 season which ended abruptly in the first round thanks to a McNeese upset.
Now that his roster is set for the 2025-26 season, he can focus on high school recruiting.
And earlier this week, he offered one of the best prospects in the 2027 class in four-star shooting guard Jarvis Hayes Jr. from Atlanta. He's ranked the No. 35 overall recruit and No. 2 shooting guard in the 2027 cycle, per 247Sports.

Hayes has been blowing up recently, receiving some big offers, but you could argue that Clemson is the best one he's gotten yet, maybe outside of Auburn. He also holds offers from Missouri, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Missouri.
Landing the 6-foot-5 shooting guard won't be easy as the SEC has been loading up on elite talent in recent years, but Clemson's getting involved early enough that it'll have a fighter's chance.
Hayes would be one of the biggest recruiting gets of the Brownell era at Clemson.
