Chris Denson

If there is one player every Clemson fan wants to see get more opportunities on the field, it's quarterback Chris Denson.

The freshman had the most electrifying performance from a Tiger in 2025, in the fourth quarter against Furman. He completed all four of his pass attempts for 22 yards and a touchdown. Denson also rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

His showing in that game left Clemson fans wanting to see more. It would be great to give Denson another shot to show what he’s capable of in a Bowl game.

That will all come down to his status for the game

Denson was ruled out for the South Carolina game after suffering a foot injury in practice. If Denson is good to go, he should get an opportunity to play and make his case for the starting job in 2026. He’s played in just two games this year, so even if he does get reps in this game he’ll still be eligible to redshirt.

Cade Klubnik is playing in the Pinstripe Bowl to try helping his draft stock, much like Randall. Klubnik and Christopher Vizzina will likely get a majority of the reps. If he’s healthy though, Denson should play some meaningful snaps against power four competition.
