Vic Burley

Vic Burley is a player many have been excited to see get more opportunities on the field. He dealt with some injuries in the first year of his Clemson career. Even when healthy though, he’s had to wait his turn behind some future NFL defensive tackles.

When Burley is on the field though, it's easy to see the upside in the 320 pound redshirt sophomore. He’s got just five tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss this season, but his contributions don’t show up much in the stat sheet. Burley does a great job resetting the line of scrimmage and penetrating gaps.

Getting a chance to play more snaps is important for players like Burley. He needs to get experience on a stage like the Pinstripe Bowl against a program like Penn State. It will prepare him to enter into a more important role on the defense next season.
