Jeremiah Alexander
Dabo Swinney made waves in the offseason, when he picked up three players out of the transfer portal. Those players were Tristan Smith, Will Heldt, and Jeremiah Alexander.
Smith had a couple of impressive games this season. He was thrust into a bigger role when wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr suffered his season-ending injury. Smith finished the regular season as the fifth leading receiver for Clemson, with 22 receptions for 229 yards and a touchdown.
Heldt has been arguably the best player on the Clemson defense all year long. He accumulated 39 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble this season.
Alexander has had a more quiet year compared to Smith and Heldt, but started to come along the last few weeks of the season. Against Florida State he had five total tackles, a tackle for loss, a sack, and a fumble recovery. The following week against Louisville, he had seven tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.
It would be great to see Alexander continue that improvement in the Bowl game, and into next season.
