Clemson Football has a new ‘old’ kicker
Just yesterday, Rubbing The Rock discussed the options for Clemson Football at kicker. Not too long after that, Larry Williams from Tiger Illustrated posted this.
OK, this is WILD: Former backup kicker Jonathan Weitz, who graduated Clemson last year and was done with football, is back with the team. He was taking online graduate courses from his home in Charleston. Dabo called him Sunday. Here's the story:https://t.co/rsXDFQ5Avm

Since Weitz was already enrolled, he was apparently eligible to re-join the team. He should be available this Saturday if the Tigers elect to use him.
Weitz’s bio on the Clemson Tigers website says he was 3 for 3 on points after in his career and had 10 kickoffs for an average of 56 yards per. He graduated in May of 2022 with a degree in financial management.
The Tigers always have something up their sleeve. Great scoop my Williams.
Clemson Football freshman will miss the rest of the season due to injury
When Clemson Football announced that freshman defensive tackle Vic Burley was injured before the start of the regular season, it was expected that he could return within a few weeks. By the end of last week, it sounded like he would be back soon.
Unfortunately, it sounds like his recovery didn’t go as planned. Per Dabo Swinney:
"“The guy nobody is talking about right now is Victor Burley and that is because we had to do surgery on him. He is out for the year. But man this kid would have played for sure. He is a monster as well. He is loud and has a great future ahead of him.”"
On another injury front, Swinney confirmed that Cole Turner will not lose a season of eligibility due to his season ending injury.
Dabo Swinney, on his radio show, says injured WR Cole Turner will get the 2023 season back with a medical redshirt, so he could use up to four years of eligibility starting next fall if he chooses (redshirted in 2022). "He's gonna make a lot of great plays here"

Gideon Davidson trying to get that Chipotle NIL: Yesterday we mentioned that Will Shipley has a new NIL deal with Chipotle. Class of 2025 commitment Gideon Davidson is already opening negotiations (on X) with Chipotle to get a similar deal.
Got me some Chipotle today in the Burg, but Saturday I’m looking forward to getting me some of that Shipotle in Death Valley. I love Chipotle! Any chance of a week of Gid-potle in the Burg? #shipotle @willshipley2021 @ClemsonFB @LCABulldogsFB pic.twitter.com/NTgsmGRoo0
