Noble Johnson

  • Number: 3
  • Position: Wide Receiver
  • Height: 6’-2”
  • Weight: 210 pounds
  • High School: Rockwall High School
  • Hometown: Rockwall, Texas
  • 247Sports Rating: 3-star

Johnson committed to Clemson in June 2022 and became popular with Tiger Nation quickly, both because of his highlights and his presence on social media.

Johnson was the only wide receiver who enrolled early and participated in spring practice, which gave him an immediate advantage over the other freshmen.

On3 said this of Johnson when scouting him:

"“Arguably the strongest set of hands in the entire country at the wide receiver position. Dense and rocked up build especially in his lowers. Stands in just a hair under 6-foot-2, 205 pounds with a 6-foot-4.5 wingspan. Has juice and twitch off the line of scrimmage.”"

This screams possession receiver to me, and that gives him a defined role, but he isn’t the only guy who Clemson thinks can do this job.

Whether Johnson gets a big shot this year will depend on the other guys making the best of their opportunities. If they are successful, Johnson might not get a lot of meaningful snaps.

If they are not successful, or the Tigers have another string of injuries as they did in 2021 when Beaux Collins got the call to action, then Johnson could be the next guy up.
