Jonathan Paylor

  • Position: Athlete
  • Height: 5’-9”
  • Weight: 170
  • Hometown: Burlington, North Carolina
  • High School: Hugh M Cummings

Paylor is listed as an athlete by 247 Sports, but he is being recruited by Coach Tyler Grisham as a wide receiver. He is a 4-star athlete ranked 83rd in the nation overall.

You can see his sophomore highlights below. First, he lines up at running back and scores a touchdown. Then he lines up at slot receiver and scores a touchdown. Next, he lines up at safety…you guessed it, he scored a touchdown. Then he punts the ball within the opponent’s 5-yard line. I think you get the idea – the kid is good.

It was important that Clemson fans showed out and made Death Valley electric to help the play on the field, but it was also critical for recruitments like Paylor’s. Saturday was his first visit for a game, and he expressed his impression to Rival’s with a simple response.

There is only one Crystal Ball for Paylor on 247, and it was registered for NC State in June. Not only did Paylor get to experience Death Valley for the first time, but he also saw the presumed favorite on the same field with the Tigers. Chatter suggests Saturday gave Paylor some things to consider in his recruitment. Good job, Clemson Nation.
