Clemson football seemed to have some momentum in recruiting the 2023 class around the spring game, but it’s been quiet lately on that front.

It may be time for things to start getting noisy again as we indicated last week.

The only thing that has changed on Ojiegbe’s profile that we can see is that he now has five crystal ball predictions to Clemson.

It’s recruiting, so guarantees aren’t worth much, but from all indications things look good and we should know for sure, as much as verbals are “for sure”, around 5:30 today.

Jason Priester of AllClemson.com also had a recent update that included interesting observations on the offensive linemen Clemson has offered this cycle.

Priester expects the Tigers to sign at least three OL this cycle and mentions they have current offers out to nine offensive linemen.

"Of those, the top targets are Monroe Freeling, Sullivan Absher, Zecharia Owens, and Harris Sewell. All are blue-chip prospects and all but Absher are arguably Top-100 players overall. Absher would fall somewhere in the Top-250 range. Sewell is set to take an official visit to Clemson on the weekend of June 3."

Absher was one we were feeling good about and then he took a trip to Notre Dame for the spring game and now Steve Wiltfong has him headed to South Bend.

Win some, lose some.

It should be noted that the most recent crystal balls for Absher pointed to Notre Dame, while the early April ones were to Clemson.  That tells you a lot.

Finally, Priester mentioned that offensive line coach Thomas Austin has made offensive tackle Markee Anderson out of Dorman a priority.  The 6’4.5, 305 pound Anderson is a four star prospect that 247 has in their top 70, though he’s at number 152 in the composite.  Either way he’s a blue chip prospect that appears to favor South Carolina at present.

Clemson has done rather well at Dorman over the years, but it appears it’s going to take some work to get back into it with Anderson, if that’s even possible.
