Five matchups we want to see for Clemson football in ‘The Alliance’

No. 2: Clemson vs. USC

Perhaps the most intriguing matchup that we’d love to see from a Clemson football perspective is for the Tigers to take on the USC Trojans.

USC has been down for years now and they’re still a long way from relevance again, but there are signs of improvement in that program.

This is a future matchup, so we very well could see the Trojans make strides over the next few years and become a top-10 caliber program before long.

Even if they don’t ascend to those heights, you’ve got believe a ticket for Clemson vs. USC in Death Valley or out in California would be a hot commodity.

Clemson fans would be able to talk about how they finally get to play the “real USC” and Gamecock fans would have to bask in the fact that the Tigers have much bigger fish to fry.
