2. Florida State (Saturday, October 30)

Do you remember last year when Clemson made the trip down to Tallahassee and then Florida State refused to play the game with the Tigers due to concerns and wouldn’t even consider pushing the game back a day or two to allow for more testing to be conducted?

Dabo Swinney certainly does.

The rivalry between Clemson and Florida State had been fading over the last few years as the Seminoles dropped off the face of the earth and the Tigers ascended to National Championship contender status.

As the Seminoles make their way back to Death Valley this year, though, we have a feeling there’s going to be a little more ‘heat’ surrounding this one than what we’ve seen from previous matchups in recent years.

The Clemson football team is going to be focused and we wouldn’t be surprised one bit if Swinney elected to leave his starters in a little longer just to run up the score a bit on the Tigers’ ACC Atlantic rival.

There’s been a lot of talk coming from FSU since that cancellation last year and we can imagine that the Seminoles will continue to ‘poke’ the Tigers as we get closer to the game.
