1. Clemson football is still relevant, despite what many wanted to believe

There have been far too many times over the past year where opposing fan bases and even national analysts have wanted to leave the Clemson football program for dead.

Just in the past few months alone, people began talking about the ‘crack’ in the Tigers’ armor when they were blown out by Ohio State in the CFB Playoff semifinals.

If that weren’t enough, many have pointed to the recruiting losses that Clemson has suffered (ie. QB Ty Simpson & LB Jalon Walker just as a couple of recent examples) and have said that the Tigers are “starting to fade.”

Well, don’t look now but Clemson is coming back with a vengeance.

What we’ve learned through this pandemic is just how important it is for Clemson football to get prospects on campus. There’s something special about this place and it shows in recruiting.

More than anything else, this Elite Retreat (and the momentum we’ve seen coming out of this program since the end of the Dead Period) shows that Clemson is still alive and well. Highly-touted recruits from all over the country have already made trips to Tiger Town and we can expect many more in the future.

Clemson is still relevant and the power of the paw is still a very real thing.
