The defensive backfield can’t hold its own

We all know how good the defensive line is going to be.

The Tigers return basically everyone from last year’s defensive line and they have stockpiled 5-stars and 4-stars all across that line. They should be able to set a hard-edge and rush the passer in a big way this season, but it won’t matter if the defensive backfield can’t hold its own.

Last season, the secondary made some strides but they ultimately fell flat when they were needed the most.

There’s talent with names like Andrew Booth Jr., Lannden Zanders, Joseph Charleston, veteran Nolan Turner, Mario Goodrich, Sheridan Jones, Malcolm Greene and Fred Davis.
