The offensive line continues to be inconsistent

If there was one area on the offense last season that continued to be a thorn in the side of the Tigers, it was the offensive line.

Despite returning experience and having an eventual second-round draft pick starting at left tackle, the Tigers were less-than-stellar on the offensive line for much of the season.

Every time it seemed like the unit would take a step forward, they would struggle mightily. The mediocrity of many ACC teams allowed them to mask some of those deficiencies, but the CFB Playoff game against Ohio State exposed that unit in a big way.

Clemson is beginning to recruit the offensive line at an elite level and the Tigers have a lot of depth as we head into the summer. Dabo Swinney is confident in the unit and there is reason to believe this could be the deepest offensive line unit that we’ve seen in the Swinney era.
