Five Clemson football players who’ll lead the reload in 2021

The Clemson football program doesn’t rebuild, it simply reloads.

The Tigers have made six-straight CFB Playoff appearances- tied with Alabama for the most all-time- and they’ve won two National Championships in the last five years. In addition, they’ve won the ACC Championship each of the last six seasons.

Though the players change for Clemson football, the success doesn’t. The Tigers still have work to do, no doubt, but there’s a reason that Dabo Swinney continues to have success at a high level even when analysts have said the Tigers won’t.

As we look ahead to the start of spring practice for Clemson football, here are five Tigers who’ll be stepping into bigger roles and will usher in the ‘reload of 2021.’

5. Lyn-J Dixon

If you haven’t seen Lyn-J Dixon as of late, you need to.

Dixon, who weighed 195 pounds last season, has clearly been in the weight room this winter. He bided his time behind Travis Etienne the last couple of seasons, but it’s now his job to win.

Though we believe that the running back position will be more of a committee effort this year than in years past, there is definitely room for Dixon to make a major impact.

He has the ability to play at a high level and there’s no doubt that the coaching staff has pegged him as the starter coming out of the gate. He seems focused and we’re going to see a locked-in Lyn-J Dixon as we begin the 2021 campaign.
