Clemson football is being blamed for Ohio State’s problems again

The Clemson football team lost in embarrassing fashion to the Ohio State Buckeyes on New Year’s Day and it was something that won’t be lived down soon enough.

The Tigers were beaten 49-28 by the Buckeyes and, after the first quarter, really never stood a chance.

Despite Ohio State finally picking up the win they so desperately needed- they had suffered loss after embarrassing loss- they still can’t seem to let go of their obsession with Clemson football.

Now, Ohio State is having struggles with COVID-19, and the outbreak- according to many fans- is Clemson’s fault.

Even members of their ‘media’ are chiming in.

It’s always somehow the fault of Clemson football

There have been rumors of the National Championship game being postponed, but as of now it is still a full-go and it seems we’re moving forward with the originally scheduled date of this coming Monday.

We heard it all of last year when the Tigers beat the Buckeyes. Ohio State fans sharpened their pitchforks and came after Dabo Swinney with reckless abandon and total disregard of the truth. Now, they’re doing the same thing again.

Let’s not forget that this same Ohio State team had more than 10 players out earlier in the season and they were without 22 players against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game. And then, there’s the Sugar Bowl.

Ohio State had a grand total of 16 players out for their Sugar Bowl matchup- many due to protocol- against Clemson less than a week ago. But, somehow, it’s Clemson’s fault that the Buckeyes are experiencing an outbreak?

If you have 16 players out, don’t you think there’s a chance that the virus could spread pretty easily? Oh no, it has to be Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott and the Tigers who did it to the Buckeyes. That seems like sound logic.

Let’s not forget that the last time Clemson was accused of mishandling COVID issues, the Tigers didn’t have a positive test for a month and a half after the fact and we found out the vast amount of measures the Tigers took to contact trace and distance their players during meetings. Oh, and we haven’t found one single case of on-the-field transmission this season in either the NFL or College Football.

Is it possible that Clemson transmitted the virus to Ohio State? Sure, there’s always a chance of that happening while your playing amidst a pandemic.

But it’s much more likely the outbreak has happened within the Buckeye facilities, just as we’ve seen throughout the season with that same program.

But those fans don’t want to hear about that. They’re content continuing to blame Dabo Swinney for their problems.
