4-star priority DB target for 2021 Clemson football class set to announce

One of the final priority targets for the 2021 Clemson football recruiting cycle has made his decision and will announce his commitment very soon.

4-star CB Nyland Green has been one of the top targets for Clemson football in the 2021 recruiting class for quite some time. Green has continuously seen upward trends in recruiting rankings and has been heavily recruited by several top programs around the country.

It was always expected that he would take his recruitment out to the end, but Green has said that he has come to a decision.

He announced on his Twitter account that his recruitment is now closed and that he will be announcing his decision on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Clemson football would love to have the talented cornerback, but it’s tough to get a feel one way or another with him

There’s no doubt that the Tigers would love to add Green to their already-impressive 2021 recruiting class. They currently don’t have a cornerback, which shows just how high they are on Green.

Clemson doesn’t absolutely have to have a cornerback in this class simply because of the depth the Tigers will be bringing back, but it still will be a priority if Green commits elsewhere.

The Tigers have been the leader in the clubhouse at times for Green, but so have the Georgia Bulldogs. Auburn has also been in the mix for the cornerback, but it still seems that this decision will come down to UGA and Clemson when it’s all said and done.

Clemson 247 Sports Analyst Anna Hickey put in a crystal ball prediction for Georgia back in late October and it should probably be expected that the Bulldogs have a slight advantage heading into his decision date, but no one should count the Tigers out as of yet either.

Next. The ACC was just smarter than the SEC. dark

Green is ranked as the No. 69 overall player in the nation and the No. 5 cornerback, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings. He’s also the No. 9 overall player from the state of Georgia.
