Remaining 5-star targets in the 2021 Clemson football recruiting cycle

The 2021 Clemson football recruiting class is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation, according to the 247 Sports’ Composite Team Rankings, and the Tigers already have some extremely talented commitments in the cycle.

That being said, there are still a few positions left to fill and the coaching staff is keying in on several prospects down the stretch.

But what about the ‘big ones?’ The 5-stars.

There are currently three 5-stars who are still being targeted by Clemson football. It should be noted that 4-star CB Nyland Green- who is trending to the Tigers- could very well become a composite 5-star very soon.

With that being said, here’s a look at the three 5-star targets remaining in the 2021 recruiting cycle and the chance of Clemson football landing any of them.

5-star DE Korey Foreman

  • Height: 6-foot-4
  • Weight: 265 pounds
  • Hometown: Corona, California
  • Rankings: No. 1 player nationally; No. 1 player in CA; No. 1 DE in the nation.

Korey Foreman was committed to Clemson football at one time and he recently reiterated that the Tigers are still in the running for his services.

That being said, it’s certainly not the likely outcome at the moment.

Foreman is still in the midst of enjoying his recruitment and he is scheduled to take a visit to LSU this weekend. He has visited Georgia and it seems that the Bulldogs have emerged as the potential favorite.

In addition to UGA and LSU, his home state school of Southern Cal remains heavily involved and many consider the Trojans to be the favorite. No matter how you look at it, it seems that LSU, Georgia and USC are all a step above Clemson and I wouldn’t hold my breath on him re-committing to the Tigers. It should be noted that Clemson has already filled its number at defensive end for the cycle, as well.
