Clemson football ready to open up 2020 season vs. Wake Forest

The Clemson football team will open up the 2020 season against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday evening in Winston-Salem.

The Tigers and Demon Deacons are slated to kickoff a little after 7:30 p.m. Saturday night for a game that will be televised live on ABC in front of a national audience. While there will be no fans in the stands, there’s still no doubt that this is going to be a monumental moment for these players who have fought hard to step foot on the field this season.

Here’s a look at the Clemson football weekly weather report, according to AccuWeather,as the Tigers prepare to take on the Demon Deacons.

Clemson football weather report for Wake Forest game

High: 78 degrees

Low: 70 degrees

Temp at Kickoff: 73 degrees

Chance of Rain: 60 percent with around a 40 percent chance at game time

Wind: ESE 4 mph

Humidity: 96 percent

While there won’t be any fans in the stands, the one thing we can say about Winston-Salem is that this may feel like the most ‘fall-esque’ season-opener in quite a while for Clemson football.

With a high of just 78 degrees and kickoff temperature of around 73 degrees, there will be an ever-so-slight feeling of fall in the air, even if it isn’t completely noticeable.

The other portion of the weather that Clemson football fans may want to keep their eyes on is the chance of rain. While it’s listed as ‘scattered thunderstorms and rain,’ you never know what that will truly look like throughout the day. We could be looking at a wet field with a downpour at some point or we could be looking at a completely dry day with blue skies and little-to-no rain throughout the day, or anywhere in between.

This should be a fun match-up to begin the season and we’ll be providing complete coverage & analysis here at Rubbing the Rock.
