Clemson will open up  the 2020 season against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons

The No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers will open up the 2020 season against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday in front of a nationally-televised audience.

While there will be no fans in the stands at Truist Stadium, we can count on likely millions of Clemson fans tuning in to watch their Tigers play after a long hiatus of more than eight months.

Many thought this time would never come and it still seems surreal with all that is happening around us, but there will be nothing sweeter than watching the Tigers take the field in Winston-Salem and getting to see Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and the rest of that team compete again.

If you’re looking for broadcasting information, you’ve come to right place.

Early Analysis:

There’s a reason that Clemson is such a heavy favorite head into this one. The Tigers have a ton of depth and talented pieces, and Wake Forest will be without its top play-maker in Sage Surratt who opted out of the season.

Wake hasn’t been able to slow down the Tiger offense even remotely in the last two outings between the two teams and we shouldn’t expect anything different this time around, either.

This game is the featured match-up on ESPN College GameDay– the first time the show has ever been in Winston-Salem- and it will be interesting to see what both broadcasts look like as we begin the season.

Clemson defense will need to be better in 2020. dark. Next
