Records are meant to be broken and Clemson football quarterback Trevor Lawrence will smash a compensation record set earlier this week.

Whether you are an NFL fan or not, you have heard about the record-setting contract that the Kansas City Chiefs and quarterback Patrick Mahomes agreed to – 10 years and $503 million. The record will remain intact for at least the next six years as even Deshaun Watson won’t be offered that much money.

Trevor Lawrence will be the one to break that record sometime around 2026.

Lawrence is the “generational talent” that general managers and coaches talk about. His arm strength is out of this world, his football IQ rivals anyone playing on Sunday’s and he has already made so many jaw-dropping throws that even Patrick Mahomes has yet to accomplish.

In three years at Texas Tech under the guidance of Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury, Mahomes accounted for a whopping 11,252 yards and 93 touchdowns in just 32 games. While Trevor more than likely won’t surpass that yardage total, he will pass for more touchdowns and more importantly will have had a more accomplished career and is a far better passer.

Trevor Lawrence is the total package.

What Trevor is showing scouts right now that he is ready for the next level and he is the ideal quarterback to run the hybrid college/pro-style attacking offense. He is that dual-threat guy that you see from Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes but he is a far better passer which will set the offense up to be more explosive.

The issue that Lawrence has right now at Clemson is that Tony Elliott hinders his ability to show just how dominant he can be. NFL coaches will not do that and the Trevor Lawrence that we will see on Sunday’s will be a scarier version that any quarterback in the NFL now.

Trevor will end up making more money than any former player in Clemson football history. He will also be the next quarterback to break the monster record set by Patrick Mahomes just this week and will be the first $600 million quarterback.
