In case you have not heard, Clemson football players will hold a protest this Saturday that will start at Bowman Field. In addition to Mike Jones, Cornell Powell, and Darien Rencher, Trevor Lawrence has been one of the Clemson football players to help organize and lead this very important protest.

Trevor Lawrence is unafraid to upset people that will disagree with the stand that he is taking. In a day and age where so many people care what others think about them, Lawrence has come out and said that if someone disagrees with the stance he has taken on equality, he does not want them as a fan.

We know how much his Christian faith means him as a person. Trevor has been very open about how his faith carried him through some dark times over the last couple of seasons. During times like these, many people will hide behind their faith and not take a true stand on right versus wrong.

Think about what he just did because his statement is something that not many athletes, in general, would make or have made. The leadership that he is showing with just those few words proves that Trevor is among those that actually understands how big and transformative his platform is and is using that platform to help inspire change.

Trevor Lawrence is not just talking the talk, but he is also walking the walk. He is showing others that change happens when everyone comes together regardless of their backgrounds and is willing to stand for what is right.

There are a lot of adults that could learn a thing or two from a young man not even old enough to drink but realizes that he is old enough to force a change and doesn’t care who disagrees with him.
