Clemson Football: Twitter goes crazy over Tee Higgins, Joe Burrow connection
Former Clemson football WR Tee Higgins had to wait a little longer than he would’ve liked to, but he finally heard his named called in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Clemson football fans everywhere wanted to see WR Tee Higgins go off the board in the first-round.
Instead, Tiger fans saw six wide receivers selected ahead of Higgins on Thursday night and were left wondering when they would see the Clemson football product hear his name called.
Well, Higgins didn’t have to wait long Friday night.
With the first-pick of the second-round, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Higgins and that set the football world on fire almost instantly. The Bengals had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and elected to pick LSU QB Joe Burrow.
Fans and analysts alike went crazy over the new Tiger connection.

Analysis:
Higgins was docked by NFL scouts and analysts because he didn’t participate in the 2020 NFL Combine and had a so-so Pro Day showing, but the film doesn’t lie.
Higgins is one of the best wide receivers in this draft and he’s an absolute steal for the Bengals in the second-round. Higgins is a ‘ladder wide receiver’ who can go up and get the ball. He makes up for QB deficiencies at times and is going to make Joe Burrow’s job much easier.
There are many franchises who will regret not taking Higgins when they had a chance.
His physicality and vertical are off-the-charts and there are very few times when you can see a wide receiver of his caliber taken in the second-round.
Looking at it from Higgins’ perspective, though, he should be excited. He’s going to have one of the best young and up-and-coming quarterbacks throwing him the ball and the Bengals have an opportunity to have one of the more exciting offenses in the league this season.
