5-star Clemson football DE commitment Korey Foreman may be waivering when it comes to his previous commitment to the Tigers.

The Clemson football program has always had a strict ‘no-visit’ policy when it comes to commitments under Dabo Swinney.

Once the Tigers take a commitment, Swinney has a philosophy of being 100 percent committed on both ends. That means that commits are expected to shutdown their recruitment and not take anymore visits.

Unlike many other programs around the country, Clemson football doesn’t overfill so the Tigers rely on true commitments to fill scholarship numbers, for better or worse.

The top-rated player in the 2021 Clemson football recruiting class is 5-star DE Korey Foreman. Though Foreman clearly likes the program and the staff, it seems that he may be wavering a bit.

"“I feel like I’ve earned them,” Foreman told Tigernet when asked about taking official visits. “I’ve talked to the coaches and they have explained how the feel about it. They let me know what would happen if I did take a visit. There are some things I need to think about, but that isn’t my main focus. My main focus is the first game of my senior season.”"

Foreman said he had a great relationship with the Clemson football coaching staff and would definitely be taking a visit to Clemson should he decide to reopen his recruitment.

Before Tiger fans push the panic button, it does seem like Foreman is wavering, but it’s not because he’s not interested in Clemson.

There are plenty of young athletes out there who simply want to enjoy the recruiting process. They want to take the free visits across the country and enjoy getting to do things that they haven’t been able to do before.

At this point, it would seem that USC is the biggest competition for Foreman’s services.

It should be noted that Shaq Smith, a former 5-star, de-committed from Clemson so that he could take visits back in 2015. After taking those visits, he re-committed to the Tigers at an All-Star game.
