How will Clemson ever replace Isaiah Simmons? The answer is pretty simple: The Tigers won’t.

Simmons was a generational talent with absolute freakish athleticism and great physicality. Even though Clemson won’t replace Simmons, there is reason to believe that the Tigers will be just fine at the position.

Mike Jones Jr. spent his entire redshirt freshman campaign behind Simmons playing that SAM/Nickel position.

He has the athleticism and the physicality to develop into something special and that all will begin this spring in competition.

Jones Jr. has the perfect body type and style to play the position effectively and I think we’ll see him take ownership of that role as the spring progresses.
