Clemson Football: 5 Tigers poised for breakout spring performances

2. Joseph Ngata

Clemson needs wide receivers to step up and Joseph Ngata is going to answer that call.

Though Ngata and fellow classmate Frank Ladson Jr. were unable to make a major impact last season as freshmen, both of these guys will take major steps this spring.

Ngata, in particular, is going to have another year in the weight room and I believe he could blossom into a dominant boundary threat who also plays a bit of the ‘field position’ as well.

Ngata has the speed and size to be a force this season and he’s going to compete for starter-level reps, without a doubt.
