Clemson Football: 5 newcomers to watch in spring practice 2020

4. Fred Davis II, 5-star DB

It should be interesting to see how Fred Davis- a 5-star CB- performs when he gets on campus.

There’s an opening at a starting spot with A.J. Terrell leaving early for the NFL Draft and there will be plenty of competition among the Tigers’ defensive backs.

Derion Kendrick should reprise his starter role, but there will be plenty of competition from Sheridan Jones, Andrew Booth Jr. and Mario Goodrich for the other spot.

Could Davis work his name into that competition or find himself entrenched in a battle for a spot on the two-deep?
