3. The Coaching Advantage
LSU has top-notch coaches. The Tigers have one of the best defensive coordinators in the nation in Dave Aranda. They have a pair of really good offensive coaches, as well, in Steve Ensminger (OC) and Joe Brady (Passing Game Coordinator).
That being said, that staff does not have the experience compared to Clemson’s.
Clemson possesses the best Head Coach in the nation in Dabo Swinney, the best defensive coordinator in Brent Venables and a pair of talented offensive coordinators in Jeff Scott and Tony Elliott, who are looking to go out on a high-note in their last game coaching together (Scott will be heading to USF after this game).
Clemson’s coaching staff has been in close games and has found a way to come out on top. They’ve been on this stage. That’s an advantage and I like Swinney’s staff if this one comes down to final few minutes Monday night.
