The Clemson football team will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes, but here’s a look at the other side of the CFB Playoff semifinal bracket.

The Clemson football team will take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The winner of the matchup between the Tigers and Buckeyes will advance to the National Championship in New Orleans.

Today, though, we’ll take a look at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl between LSU and Oklahoma, the game on the opposite side of the CFB Playoff bracket.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl:

Clemson and Ohio State will play at 8 p.m., but LSU and Oklahoma will kick off their game at 4 p.m. in Atlanta.

The Tigers come into this one ranked No. 1 in the nation and they are led by QB Joe Burrow, the Heisman Trophy winner. Oklahoma is ranked No. 4 and is led by QB Jalen Hurts, who was a Heisman finalist.

There are several similarities between LSU and Oklahoma when looking at the two teams.

Both have explosive offenses and both have suspect defenses. While LSU’s defense has looked good in the past two games- against Georgia and Texas A&M- they haven’t faced a powerful spread with the capability of moving the ball like Oklahoma.

The Sooners’ defense hasn’t looked very good all season and even though they should be more prepared considering they’ve played against spread offenses in the Big 12, LSU is a different breed.

The Tigers are favored for a reason, but it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

In my opinion, this is one is set for a lot of scoring. LSU hasn’t shown the capability of stopping any spread offense all season. Oklahoma’s defense has looked a little bit better against spread offenses, but the Sooners haven’t faced an offensive unit as talented as LSU’s.

When you watch this game, it will be about three things: Offense, offense and more offense.

If Jalen Hurts can refrain from turning the ball over, this one could play out fairly similar to the LSU-Alabama game from earlier this season and we’ll likely see the team with the ball last come away with the win. LSU is being heavily favored, but there’s something in me that thinks Oklahoma will at least make a game of this one.
