Trevor Lawrence has been lights out at the QB position for Clemson football as of late and it’s being overlooked by the national media.

Dabo Swinney has been pointing out disrespect from the nation media pertaining to Clemson football over the past few weeks and it’s certainly coming to light as of late.

As we prepare for the CFB Playoff, there are four talented quarterbacks who’ll be making an appearance.

Joe Burrow (LSU), Justin Fields (Ohio State), Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma) and Trevor Lawrence (Clemson). Despite the fact that Lawrence has led Clemson football to another undefeated season, many still believe that he has ‘struggled’ throughout the 2019 season.

Lawrence is the only quarterback in the CFB Playoff to not finish as a Heisman finalist and much of it has to do with expectations coming into this season and the fact that people only paid attention to the Tigers earlier in the year.

As a result, they’ve missed out on an impressive streak of statistics and accomplishments from Lawrence.

The true numbers…

Since the first quarter of the Louisville game, in which Lawrence was just 3-of-7 for nine yards and had two interceptions in the red zone, he has been a completely different player.

Lawrence has now held the highest QB rating in the nation from that point on and has completed 128-of-173 attempts (73.9 percent) for 1,826 yards and 23 touchdowns to no interceptions. That’s a yards per attempt number of 13.55.

It’s easy to look at Lawrence’s first few games and believe that he’s somehow regressed or is not as good as last year.

But when you look at the totality of the season and especially what he’s done as of late, there’s no doubting that he’s one of the elite quarterbacks in the country.

Though many in the national media will pretend otherwise, the truth is that Lawrence has been every bit as good as any other quarterback in the nation over the past month and a half of the 2019 season.
