1. Tigers haven’t forgotten anything

The best way to beat Clemson is to not say anything during the week and hope the Tigers come into the game lacking focus.

That’s just not going to be the case for this one.

Tanner Muse was quick to point out that the Clemson defensive backfield remembers giving up 500-plus yards to Jake Bentley and that Gamecock offense last season. They remember what South Carolina fans had to say about the ‘close 21-point victory’ after the game.

Dabo Swinney hasn’t forgotten about the last time Clemson came into Williams-Brice Stadium and had to dodge trash as the Tigers ran in-and-out of the locker room. He also hasn’t forgotten that the Tigers played a game closer than they would’ve liked to back in 2015 when South Carolina had an opportunity for an onside kick late in the contest.

There’s like to be a chip on the shoulder of many Tigers as they compete against former teammate Tavien Feaster, who chose to join South Carolina for his final year of eligibility.

No matter how you look at it, I just can’t see Clemson football coming into this one with a lack-of-focus. The Tigers have forgotten anything and it seems they’ve been waiting on this one for a while. That doesn’t sound like a favorable situation for the Gamecocks.
