The Clemson football team will travel to Chapel Hill Saturday to take on North Carolina. What will the weather look like for the ACC match up?

The Clemson football team will take to the road one more time before the first bye week of the season when they take on the North Carolina Tar Heels this Saturday.

The Tigers come into the game with a perfect 4-0 record and are looking to remain unblemished through the first part of the season. Clemson is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in both the AP and Coaches’ Polls.

Things were looking promising for North Carolina to begin the season, as the Tar Heels knocked off South Carolina and Miami in back-to-back weeks. As a matter of fact, there were UNC fans chanting ‘We want Clemson’ following the win over the Hurricanes in Chapel Hill.

Unfortunately for them, North Carolina went on a two-game losing streak following those two wins, dropping two tightly-contested games against Wake Forest and Appalachian State.

As we head into the ACC match up, here’s a look at the weather report for Saturday.

Clemson Football Weather Report (3:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill, NC):

High: 90

Low: 68

Chance of Rain: 20 percent

Temperature at Kickoff: 88

Wind: NE at 5 mph

Humidity: 52 percent

Thoughts:

If you’re heading up to Chapel Hill, it should be an all-around nice day for football. The chance of rain is minimal and it’s expected that we’ll experience a sunny/partly cloudy day.

The temperature will still be relatively high at kickoff- 88 degrees- but the humidity level has dropped to 52 percent and the afternoon should feel much cooler once we get into the second half. By the time the game ends, the temperature could very well be in the high-70s.

We’re not quite ready to call off the September heat, but you see the temperature slowly declining and that’s a good sign for Clemson football fans ready to experience the brisk fall weather.

This week, though, it should be a bearable September afternoon kickoff and an overall nice day for some football.
