5. Death Valley at night

This has nothing to do with the game itself, but rather the special atmosphere that surrounds Clemson Memorial Stadium.

Let’s be honest here, there most likely aren’t going to be many opportunities for Clemson football fans to experience a night game in Death Valley this season.

With the inception of the ACC Network, Clemson was chosen to play this game at 7:30 p.m., giving Tiger fans a night atmosphere for the second time in four weeks- the Tigers opened up with a Thursday night game against Georgia Tech.

There’s just something special about being in Death Valley at night, no matter who the opponent is. Soak it up and enjoy it because it likely won’t happen many more times this season.

The ACC Network will want to put Clemson on its programming, but it’s certainly more likely that other networks (ESPN, ESPN 2 and ABC) select the Tigers for a 3:30 p.m. or noon outing before the ACC Network gets its selection.
