The Clemson football team will host the Texas A&M Aggies Saturday afternoon in Death Valley. Here is our pick against the spread for the match up.

The Clemson football team came away with a 52-14 victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to open up the 2019 season.

Now, the Tigers will focus their attention to a top-12 ranked Texas A&M team looking to make a statement early in the season. The Aggies, led by Coach Jimbo Fisher, have a tough schedule ahead and have circled the Clemson game as an opportunity to put the nation on notice and vault themselves potentially into the CFB Playoff conversation.

It will be a tough task for Clemson football, no doubt, but the Tigers certainly have the talent and depth to beat the Aggies and take control of the game Saturday afternoon.

Here’s our pick against the spread for the match up.

Clemson Football Spread Prediction vs. Texas A&M:

Current Spread: Clemson -17.5

Spread Prediction:

I personally like Clemson to win this game, but covering a 17.5-point spread seems a little large. The vast majority of money is going towards Texas A&M and that’s no disrespect to Clemson, it’s just a really large spread.

Clemson could win handily 31-17 and still not cover the spread. Right now, we’re going to take the Tigers to win the game outright, but not cover the spread.

Current Over/Under: 64.5

Over/Under Prediction:

We expect Clemson football to score right around that 30-38 range and Texas A&M to score somewhere between 17-28. At the highest points, those score ranges go over, but at the lowest points they go ‘under.’

It’s an uneasy number that very well could be spot on. In the end, we’re going to take the ‘over’ because of the talent that both teams possess on offense, but it’s definitely not a lock.
