Wide Receivers

Injuries have been the name of the game at wide receiver.

Coming into camp, we all knew that the Tigers would be without Amari Rodgers, who suffered an ACL tear in spring practice. Rodgers is on the fast track to recovery and is expected back by late September or early October.

Tee Higgins returned from injury after having to work out in a yellow jersey early in fall camp. Freshman Frank Ladson underwent minor surgery to repair some issues with his knee, but is expected back by the beginning of the season.

The biggest storyline pertaining to the receivers is the fact that freshman Joseph Ngata is absolutely shining. Ngata has proven to be one of the top performers to this point in camp and he’s clearly in good position when it comes to earning playing time.
